GIOVANE TERRA PROJECT
The profound economic crises we are living is increasing environmental and social issues and marginalisation. The demographic analysis of the Frosinone province shows that youth is facing many occupational problems. Social agriculture appears as a valid tool for alternative welfare to be experimented as a social innovation process able to provide new answers to population needs.
In this framework, the GiovaneTerra project wants to promote the experimentation of a social enterprise based on social gardening providing youth with personal and professional competences and occupation opportunities related to agriculture, while it contributes in the mean time to the re-use of dismissed public lands and the involvement of people from social disadvantaged backgrounds.
Among the project activities, a “greenjobs” training aims to provide unemployed youth with practical tools for the start up of social agriculture enterprises.
